The residency and $1,000 are awarded based on a completed application. Applications are chosen by a peer-review committee. To apply, candidates are required to submit all of the following as ONE PDF or Word document by December 15th of each year:

• Ten pages of poetry; one play; or up to 25 pages of fiction (double spaced).
• A paragraph to a page explaining how the fellowship would aid the applicant's work.
• A CV (including publication list, and full contact information).
• $20 fee payable to The Baltic Writing Residency
• Contact Information for two references.

Do not include any additional material (cover letter, reference letters, books, etc.). Application materials will not be returned. Again, applications must be submitted by December 15th of each year. The winner will be contacted and announced by March of each year.
