Adam Day

Adam Day’s chapbook, Badger, Apocrypha, won a 2010 Poetry Society of America National Chapbook Fellowship. His work has appeared in the Boston Review, American Poetry Review, Guernica, The Kenyon Review, FIELD, Verse Daily, The Iowa Review, BOMB, and elsewhere, and has been nominated for 2008 and 2009 Pushcart Prizes, and included in Best New Poets 2008. He is the recipient of a Kentucky Arts Council grant, and a Ragdale Foundation residency. He coordinates The Baltic Writing Residency in Latvia, and is a contributing editor to the online literary journal Memorious.


Aleksis Karlsons

Born to Latvian parents in San Francisco, California, Aleksis has been living in Latvia since 2006. Aleksis manages Omnium Properties, a real estate firm that owns and operates historical commercial and residential properties throughout Latvia, including the Bergs Bazaar. He is also the CEO of Hotel Bergs, Latvia’s premier luxury boutique hotel, and a founding member of Galerija BB, an art and antique gallery. In addition, Aleksis serves as a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia. Aleksis graduated from Colgate University in 2000 with degrees in German Literature and Russian Studies, and received his J.D. from Tulane Law School in 2003.
